About

I'm a Brazilian software engineer with around six years of experience, mostly in Rails and Python, mostly on backends for products that move money or documents.

Trajectory

Six years across e-commerce, SaaS, real-time, and fintech — each with its own gravity.

  1. 2025 →

    GarantiaBR

Credit pipeline work — digital onboarding for buyers and sellers in Brazilian B2B credit. Most of what's in What I've been building lives here.

  2. 2022–25

    Applaudo · Senior Software Engineer

High-scale Rails: customer search, query optimization, Jira integration, and an internal declarative DSL operator for approval workflows that became reusable across the platform.

  3. 2021–22

    Sopha

Forecasting and SQL optimization that cut operational costs by 25%, decomposing a monolith into microservices, batch CSV ingestion with Pandas, and document signature security work. I also founded a small internal programming school to mentor interns on production work.

  4. 2020

    UpMedal

Built an e-commerce platform for athletes — Rails full-stack plus the internal tools that keep an e-commerce shop running: logistics, inventory, shipping calculation, cashback.

Teaching

Alongside Sopha, I taught programming for ~1.5 years at Torne-se um Programador (closed community, project-based curriculum). Explaining things makes you understand them better — the cliché holds.

Open source

Two merged PRs into Rails: #53417 as author, and #47852 as co-author alongside Justin Searls, Aaron Patterson, and Guillermo Iguaran.

Beyond code

Started a bachelor's in Physics at UFMG this year — gravitation is my favorite part so far. The analytical habit shows up in code more than I expect: measuring before optimizing, modeling before guessing, treating systems as something to reason about rather than just patch.
